Data Conversations: ODISSEI

May 19 @ 13:00 14:00

ODISSEI (Open Data Infrastructure for Social Science and Economic Innovations)
ODISSEI is the Dutch national infrastructure for social science. Providing analytical tools and algorithms, secure super computing power and expertise, ODISSEI is building an overarching and interlinked infrastructure to help researchers make optimal use of the rich datasets that are available in the Netherlands. As an open data infrastructure. ODISSEI is committed to increase the Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability and Reusability (FAIRness) of data. However, the uptake of FAIR principles in the social sciences is often slowed down by the lack of technical knowledge, skills and incentives.  The FAIR Expertise Hub is a project funded by the Platform Digitale Infrastructuur Social Science and Humanities (PDI-SSH) aimed at improving the FAIR implementation in the social sciences data communities by providing practical guidance and tailored support depending on the communities’ needs.

The speakers in this meeting will be Suze Zijlstra and Angelica Maineri. The presentation will follow a Q&A session.

What is the Data Conversations meeting?
During Data Conversations, researchers from different faculties, institutes and disciplines have a chance to exchange experiences with data sharing, and good research practices, but also to learn from each others failures, and setbacks.
